Relentless Love

A Lenten Devotional for Adventures of Fearless Faith

Dearest Fearless Ryder,

I think I’ll start all devotional with a little Lady Whistle down flair lol.

As the miles stretch before you and the road hums beneath your faith, this season of Lent invites you to slow your heart and remember the one who has kept His eyes on you.

“Don’t leave me nor forsake me.”

Those are the words I find myself whispering often during this season of Lent. Lent reminds us of the greatest love ever poured out, the sacrifice Christ made when He went to the Cross. It’s a season that invites us to slow down, to remember, and to sit with the weight of love that cost everything.

I remember my grandmother saying something similar when I was a child. We’d spend summers in Canada, fishing along the water. She would be singing and praying, and then out of nowhere she’d say, “You never want the Lord to leave you. You never want Him to take His eyes off of you. You never want Him to turn His face away.”

Back then, I didn’t understand. I was just a little girl with a fishing pole, wondering what on earth she meant.

“Be strong and courageous… for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.”

— Deuteronomy 31:6

Scripture reminds us again and again that God is not a distant observer. He is a Keeper. A Watcher. One who never slumbers, never sleeps, never looks away, never abandons His own, especially in the valley, especially in the waiting, especially at the Cross.

Now, standing on this side of life, as a wife, a mother, and a grandmother, I finally understand the weight of her words.

When I ryde the open road on a beautiful day, sun shining overhead, I often imagine it’s God Himself shining down, watching my travels, seeing my faith in action, knowing my thoughts, understanding both my failures and my obedience, and still extending grace.

I feel it when the road hums beneath me, the heavens stretch above me, and the Spirit of God surrounds me—quietly reminding me: I see you. I keep you.

It’s a beautiful ryde. But it becomes even more beautiful when you realize the One who covers you, loves you unconditionally, and relentlessly pursues you no matter how far you go or how deeply you fall.

My bike can go fast—but no matter how fast you or I ryde, We can never outrun His love.

Lent invites us to stop running and start resting.

This week, ask yourself: Where have I been ryding fast, trying to outrun pain, fear, or disappointment, only to discover God was already there?

Action Step: Sometime this week, on the road, in prayer, or in stillness, whisper these words:

“Don’t leave me. Don’t forsake me.” Then pause long enough to remember: He never has—and He never will.

A Lenten Prayer for Women Ryders

Father God,

women who carry stories, scars, prayers, and praise on every mile we travel.

As we journey through this season of Lent, we come before You as women who ryde,

When the road stretches long and the ryde feels lonely, remind us that You go before us.

When the pace is fast and our hearts feel restless, teach us to slow down and trust Your keeping.

Keep Your eyes upon us, Lord.

Do not turn Your face away from us.

Cover us with Your mercy and surround us with Your peace.

As we ryde beneath open skies, help us remember the Cross,

the love that chased us down, the grace we could never outrun,

and the sacrifice that made a way for us to be free.

Strengthen our faith, steady our hands, and soften our hearts.

May every mile draw us closer to You.

May every breath remind us that we are seen, known, and deeply loved.

We place our journey—on the road and in our souls—into Your hands.

Ryde with us, Lord, now and always.

Amen.

Ryde and Shine!

“As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” John 9:5 (ESV)

As we ride our bikes into March—some of us sooner than others—I pray that you shine brightly because this world needs your light. But remember, God is the Author and Finisher of our faith, and it is crucial for the world to witness our faith and light in action, because faith and light keeps hope alive. While preparing for this March post, I found it interesting that the Bible mentions “light” over two hundred times, underscoring its significance.

Now that we have more extended daylight, it’s a great time for the riding season and the start of rallies. Understand that motorcycles can sometimes be difficult to see on the road. However, our Can-Am Spyders and Rykers provide greater visibility and leave a bigger impression.

As three-wheel riders on the open road, we have the opportunity to “Ryde and Shine” now that daylight saving time has shifted. With a little more daylight, let’s be the light and create the change we want to see on the road and in our ride. Together, let’s embrace “The Good Ryde of Faith” as we journey down the open road. Having more time provides us with additional opportunities to share the Light of Love with those who need a touch from God. We can be present longer showing genuine interest in others who may find what we do and what we Ryde on the open road interesting. We can engage fully in conversations with them longer and share why we ride, how it makes us feel, and how it has helped us heal and cope with the ups and downs of life.

Remember that you ride on threes, symbolizing the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. So He is riding alongside you! Our world faces many challenges, and we often carry those burdens in our hearts and minds. However, God is with us, reminding us of His creation and filling our hearts with wonder and gratitude for the beauty that surrounds us and the people we encounter along the way. When we ride with this knowledge and assurance, we also illuminate the path for others. So, ride and shine, allowing others to see your light and experience God’s love shining through you.

Heavenly Father, I come before You with my heart full of gratitude for Your endless love and grace. As I navigate this world, I ask for Your guidance and strength to shine Your light everywhere I Ryde. May my actions reflect Your compassion and kindness, illuminating the lives of those around me.

Father God, please help me to be a vessel of hope and joy, especially in times of darkness. Let my words be filled with encouragement, and my deeds be marked by selflessness. May I recognize the beauty in small moments and spread that beauty to others, reminding them of Your presence and love.
Father God, Grant me the courage to share my testimony of faith and to be a source of comfort to those in need. Let my heart remain open, and my spirit united with yours as I work to make a difference in my community and the world I Ryde in.

Father God, I pray for strength in my challenges and peace in my journey as I Ryde the open road, trusting that Your light will guide me every Ryde of the way. Thank You for the opportunity to reflect Your love through my Ryde and for Ryding with me always.

In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.

Prayer of Thanksgiving

Father God,
In this Season of Thanksgiving, we acknowledge You are the fountain from which of all blessings flow. The source of all life, and the giver of all grace: We thank You for the gift of life: for air, food, and water, The means to provide and make a living; for the love of family and friends; for all the things without which
we couldn’t continue to live.

We thank You for the mystery of creation: for the beauty that the eye can see as we Ryde the open roads, for the marvels that the ear can hear, for all the amazing mysteries that fill this side of heaven with wonder.

Father God, Help us to grow in wisdom and increase us in knowledge, that we might grow in appreciation of You and Your Creation, help us to be good stewards of what You have blessed us with, never forgetting that every good and perfect gift comes from You and You are alone. Father God, We thank You for this month of November, a month reminding us of gratitude.

A month that represents the start of family holidays, our life, and the incredible honor and privilege of being able to Ryding the open road. We thank You for being our God, Creator, and Savior. For these and all blessings, we give You thanks, eternal, loving Father God, through Jesus Christ we pray.
Amen.

February Faith!

Welcoming a new month can be beautiful because it reminds us of newness. It gives us the gift of an undeserved do-over, a reset, a back-to-one, another chance to get it right. A chance to consider new opportunities, chances, places, and blessings.

It can allow us to see God turn the page of “you” into a new chapter filled with His peace and blessings. Allowing us the opportunity to look back on January with gratitude and happiness. Then, look forward with hope. I don’t know about your January, but I felt much loss. Some unexpectedly and some by choice. And experiencing that loss at the beginning of the year gives one pause for concern…LORD! What else is going to happen??? But loss gives way to HOPE, and HOPE with a long ride on the open road can fuel your FAITH.

As we make our way through this month of LOVE, here are a few things to remember as you ride into February… God is with you, and will never forsake you. And no matter where and how far you ride, you will NEVER be able to outrun HIS love for you. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord – Romans:38-39

So, I pray that you grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ Peter‬ ‭3:18‬ ‭‬‬, and that your faith is increased and strengthened so that you may do great and mighty things with it. ‭‭Luke‬ ‭17:5‬ ‭‬‬

I pray that the Holy Spirit will speak to you with each ride you take this month and that every word spoken to you will not fall among thorns this month of February. They will not be choked with the cares, riches, and pleasures of this life, bringing no fruit to perfection. Instead, they will fall on a good ground, in an honest and good heart. I pray that you will listen to God’s Word and keep HIS word until you bring forth fruit with patience. ‭‭Luke‬ ‭8:14-15‬, and I pray that the Spirit of St. Micheal will go before you this month, protecting you with His sword extended and shield lifted high so that you may continue to Ride the Good Ride of faith – La & Mrs. Cavatica

1st. Ride of the Year, Yankees Tavern, Anderson Texas 2024

May the Joy of the Lord instantly become your strength to encourage you to overcome any fears that you might experience. Remember, in our daring to be brave, when we throw caution to the wind, casting our cares in Faith upon Him through the ride. Peace, love, and joy are set loose in the atmosphere, and it permits other riders to do the same. Allowing us to all rejoice in knowing we have triumphant victory in Riding the Good Ride of Faith – LaShaun & Mrs. Cavatica
