Possibilities

I opened the window this morning after pouring a cup of coffee and the smell of possibility was in the air. I like the way it’s stated in the NIV Bible If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.” Mark 9:23 I love that. Because this gives me hope. What didn’t happen yesterday could possibly happen today and what could take place tomorrow could also happen today…your healing, your deliverance, your breakthrough, your miracle, your deferred dream, that bike that has been on back order for months finally comes in today or that one phone call that turns your night of weeping into a morning filled with Joy.

Fearless Soul,

Anything is possible today. Not because we sing about it, not because we pray about it, and not because we believe hard enough. Anything is possible… Dare I say, ALL things are possible because it’s the very character of God and it’s one of many benefits graciously extended to us when we believe in him and trust in him.

As I stood outside enjoying my morning cup of coffee, I heard the birds singing and chirping. They were telling of his glory and of all the many answered prayers this day could bring. I couldn’t help but feel even they know that the possibility of this day is endless.

Declaration for Possibilities

I believe in God’s power and ability within me; therefore, all things are possible for me. So, I remain steadfast and confident in the fact that I will see the goodness of God in my life. I will be strong and take heart for I know that he is with me, and I will wait for his manifestation of power. I will be patient and wait upon the Lord!

Son Shine on Me

My late grandmother would say, “you don’t ever want God to turn His face away from you or take His hands off of you; it’s not a good feeling.” You see, when God turns His face away from us, it is because of our doing. The word of God says, “The face of the LORD is against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth.” Psalm 34:16 Now that is some severe consequence wouldn’t you say?

Lately, I have felt that God has turned His face away from us, as far as this side of heaven goes. Everything around me screams, “WHERE IS YOUR GOD???!!!” and that question makes complete sense to the natural eye. Until my husband says, “We need a ride!” and we suit up, boot up, mount up on our bikes and take to the open road, in eager anticipation of seeing through spiritual eyes that God is near, shining His light of love on all creation.

Before we set out on any ride, my husband and I always cover our rides with prayer.

“Heavenly Father, King of Glory, Maker of Heaven and Earth, we ask you to go before us and clear the highways and byways before us. Father God, remove every obstacle that may block us from reaching our destination safely. Father God, may our eyes become sharp as an eagle to see anything that would cause hurt, harm or danger on the road or hinder us. Now Father God, do what only you can do. Dispatch St. Michael to ride with us and go before us with His sword extended and shield lifted high, ready to defend us at all cost. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.”

Since childhood, I have always loved going outside on sunny days, closing my eyes, lifting my head towards the sun, and feeling the sunshine on me. It’s as if God himself is looking at me, examine me, searching my heart…Lord, give me a clean heart my soul would sing, or as David would say, “Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting” Psalm 139:23-24

There is something spiritual about riding the open road and feeling God’s sunshine on you, especially when it’s a sunrise. The morning is anew; the sky is awash in pastels colors only God could have created. The air is crisp, fresh, and calm, and the creeping warmth of the sun rising to meet the sky heralds a new dawn that someone did not wake up to see, but you and I did.

Lord, don’t turn your face from me. Let your light shine on me each and every ride! Amen.

So I ride for all those that did not rise to meet the morning sun. I ride to give God all my Praise—starting me on my way and allowing me to feel the sunrise and dawning of a new day. I ride to commune with my heavenly Father, maker of heaven and earth. I ride to give His Son, Jesus Christ glory because His word says I am fearfully and wonderfully made.

I ride to acknowledge The Holy Spirit, The Comforter, The Spirit of Truth, My Advocate that Jesus said would not leave me, nor forsake me, but that would lead me, guide me and teach me, and remind me of everything that God would say I am. I ride to strengthen and excise my faith and show fear has no stronghold in my life. My life and time are in God’s Hands, and nothing can separate me from His love, but most of all, I ride to meet the presence of God and to feel His Son Shine on Me.
